conference and launch of Turning Inward
MoCA North Miami presents a discussion between artist collective Lou Cantor and John Miller. The talk is centred around topics explored in the essays published in the book Turning Inward (2015, Sternberg Press).
The publication, edited by Lou Cantor and Clemens Jahn, is composed of works by writers including Miller, Philipp Ekardt, Svetlana Boym, Marta Dziewanska, David Jozelit, Dieter Roelstraete, Orit Gat and Reza Negarestani. The essays in Turning Inward examine concepts of centrality and marginality in a variety of contexts including the aesthetic, the philosophical and the geo-spatial, often examining the logics of spatiality within non-spatial discourses.
