Under the High Patronage of H.S.H Prince Albert II de Monaco, artmonte-carlo is a new art exhibition, which aims to establish an artistic platform on the Côte d’Azur. It is at the very forefront of contemporary art, modern art and design and wishes to pay homage to the requirements of the region’s numerous collectors and art-lovers.
In the same spirit as artgenève, artmonte-carlo showcases a collection of works from leading international galleries against an immaculate backdrop. The exhibition is enhanced by institutional exhibitions and by a professional Forum: criss-cross/Art Institutions in Dialogue. This unique configuration promotes a dialogue between the art market and the institutional field.
In 2019, artmonte-carlo will extend its artistic offer to historical and contemporary design by inviting the PAD (Pavilion of Arts and Design) to join the fair.
Furthermore, the two exhibitions, one which opens the annual European contemporary art fair calendar in mid-winter in Switzerland and the other which begins the summer season in Monaco, unite two key European centers that are home to many art lovers and collectors.
We hope that they enrich each other and help spread the image of a Salon d’Art, human scaled, ‘museums pop up art fair´ which distinguishes itself from the big conventional art fairs by its size and concept.
Taking place in small and refined locations, artgenève and artmonte-carlo reflect their environment, agreeable with an international reputation.
